Fulfilling sample orders
How sample orders are fulfilled depends on whether or not you set up your sample orders with a verified address and are using our shipping labels. Whether you are a US or international seller, if you will be using our shipping labels, you’ll want to follow the steps for “1. Fulfilling sample orders with verified addresses using our shipping labels”.
1. Fulfilling sample orders with verified addresses using our shipping labels:
If your sample orders are associated with a verified address, fulfilling sample orders is quite simple. When you receive a notification that you have received a new order, simply log into Yellow Seed and navigate to your Orders Received page.
Clicking on the green "Fulfill Order" button will take you to a print screen where you can print the shipping label associated with the order. Print the shipping label and tape it to the box size that you chose in the sample tab of the Product uploader. Currently in the product uploader are options for varying sizes of USPS Flat Rate boxes, DHL Express boxes, and UPS Express boxes.
NOTE: Please try to fulfill the sample order as quickly as possible, or as close as possible to the “processing time” that you chose in the sample tab of the Product uploader.
2. Fulfilling sample orders without using our shipping labels
If you are not using our shipping labels, you must set the shipping price after you have received a sample order.
When you receive a sample order, a notification will be sent to your email. Log into the Yellow Seed website and navigate to the “Orders Received” page, then click the “Set Shipping Price” button.
You’ll need to manually calculate the shipping cost based on whatever shipping carrier you are choosing to use. Please enter the final shipping cost in USD and the name of the Shipping carrier, and then hit the “Set final price” button.
The buyer will receive a notification to their email to log in and pay for their order. You will receive a notification after their order has been paid for, at which time you can send the sample.
NOTE: You can communicate directly with the buyer using the “Communicate with this buyer” button on the Orders Received page, in case you haven’t heard a response in a timely manner or you need to confirm order details.
